Frequently Asked Questions

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture has been used throughout Asia for thousands of years to prevent, treat and heal many ailments for the human body, mind, and spirit. Today, we use Acupuncture in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) not only as a PREVENTATIVE treatment but broaden the scope of treating the entire problem: root, manifestations and symptoms.

Acupuncture works through working the body's Qi. Qi is the life force or "energy" that runs in every living thing. Whenever there is an ailment ( or an imbalance), it is because the Qi has been "blocked." In order for the human body to function properly, we need Qi to run smoothly therefore balancing the body aka homeostasis.

Using techniques such as Acupuncture, we manipulate the Qi to address the issues of ailment. We use needles that are stainless steel, sterilized, one-time use, disposable needles.  Any blockage of the Qi found in these meridians will loosen and ensure smooth Qi flow once again.
